Garry's Address Book
For those of you who have a copy of my address book,
this will provide you a quick link to it. While my
address book is in HTML, I do not publish it on the
web. I have no desire to put anyone's unlisted phone
number, etc. in such a public place. This page
will simply provide you links to my address book
on your own hard drive.
I am publishing my address book's page one
timezones
on the web.
Select the type of computer that you have below
to link to my address book.
If you have a copy of my NLBC church directory, then you
can access it from here (insert your floppy disk now):
If I have given you a disk and you don't know what to
do with it, follow these instructions for a Win95/Win98/WinNT:
-
Insert the floppy into your disk drive.
-
Go to the Start button, and select "Run..." off of the top level
menu (i.e. it's not under "Programs", it's on the same level as
"Programs").
-
This will pop up the Run Window. This window has a text box
labeled "Open:". Fill in A:\INSTALL.BAT in the text box.
Click on the OK button. You may see it complain about not being
able to create various directories. Ignore these warning messages
(as it goes along, it tries to create directories that were created
in previous steps - I'm working on fixing that).
-
All of the files will be copied to a directory C:\HTML\ADDRESS
on your hard drive. The file INDEX.HTM is the file that you
want to start with. You may want to start up your internet
connection (if you haven't already) and start up whatever web
browser you use (you don't have to use the address book with
the internet, you can use it on a PC that doesn't even have
an internet connection if you want). To bring up this first
page of the address book, go to the section of your web browser
where you can type in addresses (usually at the top) and type
in (or simply click on this URL)
file:///c|/html/address/index.htm
-
Add the page to your bookmarks/favorites (whatever your web browser
calls them).
